Trails of the Fontenelle Forest and Neale Woods Nature Centers

Walking or hiking the trails of Fontenelle Nature Association is an experience unlike any other within the Omaha metro area. FNA owns and manages 2,000 acres of conservation land and 26 miles of marked trails. These unique lands have been protected since 1913 and are home to many species of plants and animals.

Our trails system allows you to explore various ecoystems including oak savanna, prairie, and wetlands.

You may want to go on a self-guided tour of the History Trail at the Fontenelle Forest Nature Center. A brochure is available for purchase at the Gift Shop at Fontenelle Forest and describes the historic sites along the trail.

While enjoying FNA's trails, please be sure to follow these guidelines to ensure the land's integrity for future generations:

Leave all plants and animals undisturbed
Carry your trash out with you
Camping, jogging and bycyling are not permitted
Pets and horses are not permitted
No smoking on FNA property
Stay on the trails
Hunting and fishing are not permitted without prior permission
