Management
An important part of the Fontenelle Nature Association's mission is maintaining
its natural resources through ecologically sound land management practices. In
1997, the Association adopted a comprehensive land management policy as a guide
toward meeting this goal. Ongoing land management activities carried out by our
staff and volunteers include, controlling the spread of invasive plant species,
planting prairies on appropriate open sites, restoring bur oak savanna
habitats, and managing the whitetail deer population. |
