August 24th - November 3rd, Fontenelle Nature Association presented our community with this one-of-a-kind art event created especially to serve our mission of environmental stewardship. Elements featured the work of C. Daniel Newberry along with six other artists – Les Bruning, Jamie Burmeister, Tim Guthrie, David Hansen, Wendy Krecek, and Mary Zicafoose. Through a variety of art mediums including sculpture, textiles and video, each artist communicated his or her vision about the synergy between man and nature. The art explored ecological and environmental issues; some were created from ‘found' forest materials; and most were directly sited within Fontenelle Forest along the Missouri River Overlook Boardwalk.
